about Matchless Models
Matchless Models is the sole Atlanta area studio with only degreed model makers. All model building personnel are degreed in Industrial Model Making from the State University of New York. Aside from that college education, our background experiences include: custom cabinetry, exhibit construction, CAD engineering and propulsion mechanics.
Aaron James is the President of Matchless Models. He moved to Atlanta in 1996 and has worked as an employee and sub-contractor for several years at Real Model, Inc. While there he was the head model builder and master model programmer. He managed the shop and along with another Matchless Models employee, completed nearly all of the model construction since March of 2004, including initial programming, painting and assembly. He started Matchless Models in 1998 and is at the forefront of the industry in scale model CAD programming.
With today's technology at your hands, a model may not be the first form of project representation you consider. However, it should be. Models have a proven ability to sell faster, persuade quicker and inform more accurately.
Renderings and computer generated graphics will not suffice. While they can serve as complimentary tools, they will never convey a true three dimensional value. They can not because they will always reside atop a two dimensional canvas.
our tools
The company has the capability to create highly detailed models. We use environmentally safe finishes, paints, and materials. We incorporate a past generation's technique for creating beautiful hardwood model frames and bases.
We have worked on projects for clients such as: HO+K, Niles Bolton & Associates, John Portman & Associates, Collins Cooper Carusi, Benchmark Design, Jolly Development, Amburgy Properties and many more.
